About  PEDOL

People Ending Discrimination On Looks (PEDOL) deals with changing people's perceptions based on looks. We share with others that it's more important to look into hearts & minds of our fellow people than to judge someone based on their clothing.
PEDOL deals with many issues, including:

  • School bullying

  • Ending petty dress rules

  • Tattoo & piercing acceptance

  • Sharing laws, such as it is not illegal to drive or go into a place of business while barefoot.

  • Explaining how mandatory school uniforms are not the answer to assisting today's public schools.
PEDOL feels that we need to enact a zero tolerance policy on school bullying. Instead of making all kids look alike "to stop gangs", we feel that we need to step up efforts to reduce gangs. Gangs will not stop due to making kids all wear white shirts & black pants. To top it off, it sends great students home, has many suspended, and others even EXPELLED over petty dress rules. While we have gangs, guns, and drugs in schools...kids get beat up for school money...test scores are down. Meanwhile, schools are focusing on sending home great Honor Roll students over untucked shirts, not wearing belts, and open shoes.
What PEDOL is NOT:
While PEDOL may seem free-spirited, we do not support:
*Bullying, teasing, or otherwise hazing of another human being.
*Nudity in the nature of being sexual, fetish or of lewd content
*Using PEDOL as the sole purpose of "shock value" or "just to annoy other people". We firmly believe in sharing the benefits of our differences and not to show a "Look at me attitude".
*Using clothing as a means to start or operate a gang.

 

Let's celebrate others' different viewpoints. We can learn more from someone by talking to them.
